Luciana Garbarski
Graduated in Business Administration at UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul) in 1995.
Has been teaching English since March of 1997;
Certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Michigan – USA -1997;
Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults – CELTA -1999. This certificate was awarded after a one-month course at St. Giles San Francisco in the USA. During the course, the teacher taught immigrants who live in San Francisco;
Attended the convention of English Language Teachers of Brazil in São Paulo in 2000;
Attended a Teacher Development Course at Embassy Ces New York in the U .S.A in 2001;
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English – CPE – 2003;
Lectured at the convention of English Language Teachers of Rio Grande do Sul in 2003;
Lectured at the convention of English Language Teachers of Rio Grande do Sul in 2004;
Gave English lessons for dentists at the Brazilian Association of Odontology of Rio Grande do Sul during the second half of 2004;
Cambridge Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults – DELTA -2005. This diploma was awarded atter a two-month course at International House London, in which the teacher taught immigrants who live in London;
Lectured on the theme ‘English for Tourism – Basic Communication and Importance in the Current Years’, in the lecture circuit of the Senior Project, which was promoted by ECARTA Foundation on October 17, 2006;
Lectured at and attended the convention of English Language Teachers of Rio Grande do Sul in 2007;
Lived in England, Australia and United States for almost two years and has already visited several countries such as Canada, New Zealand, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Spain, Italy, France, Scotland, Holland, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Greece, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Thailand, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea;
Participated in a voluntary project called Volunteachers from August 2006 to December 2007. This is a project in which English teachers give lessons to children and adults on Saturdays in poor communities of Porto Alegre.
Attended the international conference of English teachers in Caxias do Sul in 2018.
Taught students from different nationalities at the school Greenwich College in Sydney in Australia from May/22 to April/23.
Master in education in teaching English to speakers of other languages at University of New South Wales in Sydney in Australia from May/22 to July/23.
